Well i was hoping that everything would change in September but it wasn't to be , in fact from a personal perspective poker took a back seat . My stepfather Millar was diagnosed with cancer 7 weeks ago , i visited him 3 weeks ago and already things weren't looking good , i drove 460 miles in one day to see him on the 29th September , i was the last person to have a proper conversation with him which i will never forget , he went home to my mother , his wife of 22 years the following day but passed away Monday 3rd October.

I will miss his dry Scottish sense of humour and the twinkle ever present in his eyes , i thanked him for making my mum happy for all those years , but what i most admired about Millar is i never once heard him complain or ask " why me ? " Who cares about bad beats in poker when you see someone facing the real thing ?
