I played in the GUKPT at Luton , that was a disaster ( see my blog )
All my focus has been on collating evidence for the license hearing on 24th , most of it was poker growth stats to prove demand but also we needed as many letters of support from all areas of the poker community , we managed to get a selection including the biggest names in televised poker as well as top tournament directors , on line companies etc . Now the shift is to recruitment , we need dealers , supervisors , cashiers , reception , bar staff , valets and hospitality .
The tables will be delivered end of August , chips are coming from France , cards from Spain and Italy , it is all starting to come together we just need to get the license !

NEWSFLASH!
As all the visitors to my site know i am due to move to Nottingham in January in my role as Live Poker Director for Dusk Till Dawn , the club is currently undergoing a £2,000,000 refit and is scheduled to open in April 2007 . Not only do we intend for Dusk Till Dawn to be the largest and most prestigious venue in Europe it is also going to be the first licensed card room in England.
The club has already been approved by the gaming board but we now need to go to a magistrates hearing and prove their is demand to get the license issued . I am sure all my visitors here that are UK based will visit Dusk Till Dawn and even several of you that are based outside the UK , therefore will you all help me out by going to the DTD Poker site and registering to join the club .
In my role as live poker director i am going to make sure this will be the best poker experience for all bankrolls , all the festivals will have guaranteed prize pools or added money whether thay are £100 or £3000 to enter , there will be a monthly £100,000 guaranteed £500 entry No Limit event with both live and online satellites available for all festival events . Dusk Till Dawn is being built by poker players for poker players .
