We play 2 rounds tomorrow , the first starting at 3.30 , then the last 16 will play down to the quarter finals from 5.30 on .

Unlike my first round win that took 2 hours and 26 minutes and was the longest in my bracket , todays was the quickest of the day in only 2 minutes 47 seconds !

We had 10,000 chips and blinds of 100 200 , i was SB and made up the BB , Albert raised 500 , i passed and he showed KK

He then limped in the SB and i checked my Q6o in the BB , flop was Q Q J , i check called for 400 , turn i check raised his 400 to 800 , he reraised to 2400 and i flat called , river i checked and he bet 3000 , now 2 years ago when in the last 16 i was in the same situation and when i called i was outkicked , there was no way i was passing but i hoped history wasn't going to repeat itself , i called and he passed almost before i showed the Q .

The next hand was the last , i limped with TJ and he raised 500 , i called , flop was 7 8 9 , this time i bet 400 hoping he had flopped something and would move in , he had and did , the clock was stopped and the camera crew came over to film the hand , i showed my nut straight and Albert had A9 , turn was a J giving him a chance to split but not today and i'm through .

Tomorrow i play Martin Cedercrantz from Sweden , i have researched his form which is bare , but more importantly i watched him play Ross Boatman for an hour and although i can't write it here i have picked up some useful information i hope to use against him .

At 6pm today they had a €300 Omaha Freezeout , on the first hand i was all in , after raising preflop with 67 89ds and getting 5 callers , the flop came 5 7 8 , one player bet pot and i reraised all in , he called with the same straight but no redraws , i rivered an 8 to make my full house .

I lost one big pot with TT JK on the button then slow played AA KQ to a raise and made Aces full on the river , everything was going well till the last two hands before dinner , i had been moved to a more aggressive table with Devilfish , Steve Vladar and Rob Hollink , with 3 limpers i called with AA 78ss , the button now raised the pot to 1200 , there was one caller and i then reraised to 5200 , the button went all in for 4350 and i got 850 change , on their backs , he had AA 8Tss , i had diamonds , he had spades but this became irrelevant , flop was K T 4 all hearts , he needed another T for trips , or one of the 2 remaining 8's for two pair , the turn obliged with an 8 . I decided to gamble in a multi way pot on the last hand before lunch as we stop for an hour and i didn't want to come back with 850 and blinds of 150 300 , made more sense to get lucky and treble up or have an early night , my 45 67 completely missed so having enjoyed the free sumptuous buffet i am back in the hotel writing this .

My preperation each day has worked so far , let's hope tomorrow it continues .
