In the $5000 No Limit no Brits made the final and that trend continued in the Stud Hi Lo and todays Limit shootout final . Interestingly with 8 left the chip leader is Kathy Liebert last years winner , what an achievement should she win again .

Dave Colclough managed a 7th in the Pot Limit Omaha .

I had a good table , didn't know anyone until seat one arrived , that was Barry Greenstein , two hands later he was out when his AK couldn't beat QQ , the table was playing fast even though the blinds were only 25 25 , i called a raise on the button from the shortest stack with 57s , flop was 3 4 7 with two clubs , he moved in for 600 and although he either had an overpair or two overs with a flush draw i decided to gamble , he had JJ and i missed the 5 , 6 or 7 required .

I played one othe hand JQs to a 50 raise but missed the flop then towards the end of level 2 moved in with AQ , one player reraised and another moved in , the raiser showed AJ and passed , the all in had AK .

As i left Garry Bush was down to 4 , Mel Judah was heads up against Noah boaken and i saw the winning hand for Annie Duke , she and Jeff Lissandro had moved in preflop , Annie had AT and the chip lead , Jeff had A9 , flop was A 5 6 , turn was the 9 Jeff needed but river was a T and Annie goes through .

There are 780 players and they have said that the 78 winners will play 13 tables of 6 leaving 13 who will split to a 6 and a 7 who will play to the final 9 then to a winner .

I think a better way would have been to have 6 tables of 9 and 3 of 8 , they could then play straight to the final 9 .

I will relax now until Sunday so i am ready for my first Omaha comp where i guarantee to do a lot better than today .

I have media accreditation and i have heard that media crews coming in have been told the main event may now finish a day later , i still don't expect them to add a fourth day but i am sure they will try to fit in as many alternates as possible .

By my next diary i will try to get an accurate figure of confirmed seats sold .
