With 92 runners on mostly 6 handed tables , a 30 minute structure , 500 chips starting at 2 5 there was no hurry .

I had decided i was going to take some chances and play more aggressively , when i called a raise with AJs and the flop came Q J 6 two of my suit and the better led out i reraised big prepared to commit , he flashed TT and passed .

I picked up 77 and called an all in for 170 , unfortunately he had TT and this time they won , i then called another all in with AK and beat a pair of 4's .

I was the only one prepared to gamble so when another player moved in i called with KJ , he had KT and i was a little unlucky , the flop came A Q 4 so he now couldn't hit his T and needed my J , turn and river were 7 7 for a split pot !

As level 4 was coming to an end i had a mini rush , having called for 30 on tbe button , i called the BB raise of a 100 , i knew he would move in for his last 190 regardless on the flop and was only going to call if i caught a piece of it , it came K 7 T and i called with my pair of 7's , he had let me in cheap with his AA and when the river brought a 7 he left shaking his head .

I then got the sort of flop i hope i get in tomorrows heads up , having limped with JQ i bet the flop of 7 9 T and got one caller , turn was a perfect 8 , he checked and when i bet 300 reraised all in , his hand was 9J , i finished at the dinner break with 1500 , average was around 1000.

I really fancied i could win this but it wasn't to be , after dinner i sat through the 25 50 level with no hands , then in the 35 70 level i raised once to 200 and a player moved in for 975 , if i had known that was to be the best hand i would have in 90 minutes i would have called with my AJ , but as i still had 1100 in chips i decided to wait for a better opportunity that never came , by the end of the 50 100 level with only 4 players on our table i was near the felt , finally i had to move in with A9 , the other 3 called and checked it down , they had 56s , T7o and TJo , flop was 3 8 Q T 3 and that was that , i finished 26th .

I am now in Barcelona and was asked to do an interview , some photos and play a game on the TV table in the purpose built set to help with camera angles , graphics etc , my opponent was Mickey Wernick who finshed top 16 last year and top 8 to the eventual winner Miami John 2 years ago , this was good practise and i won after about 90 minutes .

Tomorrow i am drawn to play in the first bracket at 3.30 , can't wait !

Mickey told me how he lost to Miami , it's so brutal i thought i would let you know , he raised to 700 with KK and Miami reraised 7000 , Mickey pushed in and was called , he flipped up his KK and Miami looking resigned showed AK , flop was 5 5 4 , turn 3 , river 2 ouch !

I hope i play well and get lucky .
