I only knew Daniel on my left and Luke Smith on my right , during the first level i had 22 and AK , won a small pot and lost a small pot , finished ok with 1675 .

In the second level Daniel got a gift , he made his standard raise to 125 into the 25 50 blinds ,the SB for the first time raised back , Daniel calls in position with 77 , flop was 3 8 9 , raiser hesitantly checks , obvious AK or AQ , Daniel lets him take a free card to bluff , turn is a T , now he bets 800 , Daniel quickly calls , river a Q , both check , Daniels 77 beats his AK .

When the blinds came round i raised 150 in the SB , he called , flop was 5 8 J , both checked , turn 9 , again checked , river 3 , i show my K6s , Daniel had 35o .

The next hand on the button i have KQs , i raise to 200 this time Daniel calls , flop is 6 T J with a diamond flush draw , i have spades , Daniel bets 350 , had there not been a flush draw i would have moved in with my two over cards and straight draw , instead i call , turn makes a second flush draw in hearts , Daniel checks as do i , river another 6 , Daniel bet out 700 , i pass and show my hand to get a read , he shows me his 6 .

With 5 minutes to go to the break i have 950 left , the only player with less is in second position and goes all in for 500 , i have A9s and decide he could have anything and be making a move as the blinds will be 50 100 and he needs to get some chips , i cal hoping i at least have two live cards , i don't , he has AQ , no improvement and i am down to 450 .

The next hand was the last of the level and the announcement was made of a 20 minute break , the FP got up as he passed as did Daniel , the BB was a dead stack , as i looked at my cards the next two players left , i only had the button and the SB to beat , i had AT a monster and confidently raised all in ,the button passed , only one to go , " how much to me " he said , " 450 total " said the dealer " ok i call " he sais and flipped up ............. AA , great timing Simon !

The good news is 3 Brits made the final , Carlo Citrone who ran his mistimed all in with 68o into AA finishing 8th good for $59,175 , Alan Purdy 7th $78,900 and at last the Brits have improved on second Laurence Gosney won $483 ,195 and the coveted bracelet , heads up his oponent cracked up and even though the blinds were only 12,000 24,000 got sick of Laurence raising all the time and shoved 500,000 in with 89o to AQs , he had a little hope when the flop came x T J but Laurence had the flush draw , river was a K to give Laurence the nut straight and the title .

His key hand earlier was when he raised to 40,000 with 22 on the button , the BB reraised 140,000 with KK and he reraised all in for over 500,000 and was called , flop brought four clubs and Laurence held the 2 of clubs ! He never looked back , well done , let's hope there are more to come .

I have the luxury of two days off before the $3000 No Limit , i did well in the $2500 so starting with more chips obviously suits me better . The success of the Brits today will help me focus .
